Woodstock, GA

Woodstock, GA, is located in the heart of Cherokee County. The city is named for Woodstock, Oxfordshire, England because several of its founders migrated from England to Georgia in the late 1830s and early 1840s.


Woodstock is a city in the northern part of Georgia, located roughly 30 miles north of Atlanta. With more than 12 square miles and over 30,000 citizens, its city limits cover more than 12 square miles and 30,000 people.

People's Market: This farmer's market is held every Saturday morning. It features over 150 vendors offering fresh produce, crafts, baked goods, flowers, live plants, and more!

Chastain Park Amphitheater: Chastain Park is a must-see for any music lover! Not only does it book some of the best concerts in Georgia, but it also hosts festivals and children's programs.

John Tanner State Park: If you're looking to connect with nature, John Tanner State Park is home to over 30 miles of trails while also hosting several events throughout the year.

Food and Entertainment

The Big Chicken: If you require some good old Southern favorites, The Big Chicken is the place to go. It provides a variety of fried chicken options and also sells burgers and fries.

Sugar Shack: A local favorite with an out-of-town feel, Sugar Shack offers cakes and pastries, both large and small. The bakery also creates custom details for special occasions, whether a birthday cake or wedding cake.

Alfresco!: Alfresco! is a tapas restaurant open every day of the week. It hosts live music and trivia nights, as well as other events throughout the year.

Ricardo's: Ricardo's has an extensive menu serving up Mexican and American cuisine, along with a fully stocked bar and plenty of seating.
