I love it, every year I look back and see the good and the bad, and like most people, I want to pick out the bad. I want to pull it out of my life and cast it aside. So, in my brain, from what I have learned, read and observed… it seems likely that I will be more successful, If I PLAN my upcoming year in such a way to remove the bad!
The reality is that I am a human creature of habit, and though I have done a good job of conquering my poor habits… I continue to make new ones. ?? Why the heck would I do that? Well, we typically don’t make these decisions, the harmful ones, on purpose. They simply happen.
BUT the hope of a New Year is a strong hope. It is the hope of an opportunity, a new beginning. I think resolutions are somewhat funny, because you really need to be committed to what is right, and what is good, and commitment should start as soon as you know that it is right or good. BUT, when knowing hasn’t been enough, using the bigger plan for the whole year can be everything you need to make a HUGE step in the right direction. So though it seems somewhat fickle to wait til the new year to make the right choice… I totally recommend it.
The Purpose Driven Life is a great book that helps to focus the individual on the idea that God has given you a purpose. And as you pursue that purpose, your life will become complete. I love this, as I truly believe people who are living “in” to their purpose, are living a more complete and happy life. Joy becomes the daily routine. Everything is about the joy, and about the love of the journey.
Take the new year, fight for your purpose, stay on track and be blessed! I would love to help serve you on your path towards purpose and a joy filled year! God Bless and Be well!
