Every Four years it seems like this is the story of the moment. “Get me out of here, the country is going to garbage!” Which is a theme that really seems not so bad in the moment. Whether you wanted Hillary or you wanted Trump, the other side seems further and further from your desires every four years.
I don’t think I remember a more polarizing election in my years, but I imagine there have been others with a similar division in the country. I think the sad and happy out of it, is that our state tends to fall completely on one side of the coin. Sad, because the division of the country is so huge, that even though we might vote as a Republican state, there are so many that are completely different than us, or worse, than 49.9% of their own state.
What a mess it can be.
I am sitting up, late… listening to the speech on “Pain” from the other side right now (the democrats are nearly succeeding loss right now, even though it is far from decided at 1am… they’re just shocked). Nonetheless, all I really hear, is what we all spout during election years. The Stark differences in belief from one side to the other.
For all my readers, whether you are Christian, Muslim, “spiritual”, or atheist. You must admit that Christ demonstrated amazing love. And if nothing else, simply striving to emulate that love would bring us all a very long way in our efforts to reduce the pain, and heal.
I strongly believe, that there will be a day. One day, where we will have a president that will heal our nation through love. Through the emulation of Christ. This is coming, I feel it. Then, very soon afterwards, I believe we will be on the path to the end times as described, and believed, in the Christian faith. BUT, the time before the tribulation… that is the time that I strive to see. The opportunity for man to love each other in a way that we rarely do… especially in an election year.
So, with that. Please. Hug somebody today, and ask them if they are ok. Ask with the potential that they are NOT ok, and that you need to help them be ok. If you are connected heavily on social media, then find a way to help heal. Not argue. Healing is always the immediate need following an election. Healing.
