How do you describe yourself? Faithful? Hopeful? Trusting?
When you see the word faith, it conjures up different meanings depending on the person who is considering. The definition will help give you the two strong differences between the definitions.
|synonyms:||religion, church, sect, denomination, (religious) persuasion, (religious) belief, ideology, creed, teaching, doctrine
“she gave her life for her faith”
The first definition relates this deep confidence. This deep trust in something… yet it leaves out God. Whereas the second definition, is really the same as the first, except the focus is on God. So when I ask you if you have faith, I wonder what you think of.
My question is really – How are you at being committed to things you cannot see, you cannot smell, taste or touch? To the slow process?
I believe in God’s timing, being something quite slower than our own. That is what I believe. I also believe that the timing of things natural is slower than what man hopes for. We were taught in philosophy class in chiropractic school, to honor and to respect the process of time. That all processes require time, and that a significant part of the problem that we face with our healthcare system, stems from the lack of respect for this process of time.
Desire to find immediate solutions for long term problems are understandable, but that desire is unrealistic. 20 Years of degenerative changes to a liver, to a gall bladder, to a colon, a spine, a knee… it doesn’t matter the tissue. It cannot reverse in 6 weeks, if at all. And what do I say about judging your health by how you feel?
YOU DO NOT FEEL HEART DISEASE OR CANCER
There is no way to judge positive change from the improved feeling that you get from short term changes. The path is a long path, and it is an ever important path to stay tight to. The more you stray, the less confidence in your ability to truly reverse a disease.
How is your faith? Are you willing to stay committed when something rocks you? Are you willing to stay committed when you cannot see the results over night? Do you judge based on how you feel? Health is a path that is rich with effort, and sparse with victory. But if you consider the last 20 years of life, you might just be more willing to stay strong for the next 20.
Philosophy is a driving factor in health. Develop yours now.
