Maximized Living reported yesterday via their facebook page…
Hippocrates, The Greek Physician who lived from 460 to 357 BC published texts detailing the importance of the chiropractic care. In on of his writings he states, “Get knowledge of the spine, for this is the requisite for many diseases.”
This is the same message that has been shared by chiropractors in America since 1895. We have shared it for over 15 years, and the message stays the same forever. To paraphrase – “Look to the spine, else it will quietly lead to disease.”
Not – the spine will hurt like crazy if you don’t take care of it.
Nor – if your spine gets jacked you might need a drug to make it feel better.
And definitely not – your spine is screwed up, therefore young learner, you must try to exercise it awkay.
You see, the key is that he said disease. He said (or what we can infer he meant) that it weakens the body in such a way that the opportunity for disease is greater. So, as we consider how science has furthered the understanding of the spine’s importance over the years, it is amazing that this Greek, pre-Christ physician saw the value of the nervous system and what it does.
We don’t take care of spines because of pain… because of bad hips, or because of headaches. We don’t take care of spines to stop high blood pressure. We take care of spines to do all of these, because a healthy spine is resilient to this and more. We take care of spines to stop disease. We are always in awe of God’s creation, and are in awe of your potential. Thanks for being in tune with how amazing you are… on the inside.
Be well and Be blessed!
